  Did Jesus have a haidresser ?

  i coudn't help but notice in a recent watchtower ( february i think it was).

  jesus was pointing the way to some one with two fingers ,not to somebody who had two fingers but pointing the way with two fingers.

  just one finger might have give the wrong impression.. the point is jesus had what can only be described as this fabulous head of hair .i mean it was like wow because your worth it !

  Barber Abbas Diary

  Jan.1st AD30.

  Jesus came in today I told him to take a seat and that I would be with him in a minute. Have a look at the portrait sketches around the room see if you fancy any of the hair styles I said. There was a picture of Nero with a shaved head clutching a lyre.Two pictures of Pontius one before he was a pilot and one after. One of Herod with a Mohican , One of John the Baptist but just his head in space not supported by any body.But the one I think which caught the eye of Jesus was the one of Moses all glowing coming round the mountain holding the ten commandments.

  I finished off giving the High Priest a short back and sides and a quick brush up when I noticed Jesus and Caphius were trying to out stare each other in the mirror and I thought to myself, there is going yo be some argy bargy in this town before very much longer I'll wager. Right Jesus your turn next do you want the usual , a bit off the top and a DA at the back? Jesus said yes but trim my sideburns I keep getting mistaken for that Levi Presley. Anway, I said how's tricks ? Jesus replied a little bit curtly I thought .They are not tricks they are miracles if you don't mind. Sorry Jesus just wondering how you are keeping.

  Thank you all for your wonderful insights keep em' coming everyone was a laugh. Loved the idea of a Barber Abbus. Mincans picture was a great passport photo of Jesus ,I can imagine the border control officer looking up from it and saying Jesus Christ!

  I have recently returned from a dig in the Holy Land or maybe that was a gig. Anyway to cut a long story short it seems that recent excavations have revealed an ancient map from Roman times and it clearly shows two establishments. Two sign boards have also been unearthed one clearly marked says, Hair Cuts a sheckle , Rinse and blow dry two sheckles.However the trader next door must have been a shoe repairerer because the sign reads Cobblers to the Romans.

  According to further discoveries of parchment the book of Maccabeus can now be included in the Nut World Translation of the Holy Scriptures.This will add validity to the pictures of Jesus as shown in Waktower artwork.

  I will reveal later the contents of what has now become known as the Barber Diaries which incidentially is written in Barber Abbases own hand prior to giving a Roman soldier a close shave plus wash and brush up.

  i am so thrilled to find this forum.

  it is such a relief to know that all of us 'apostates' are normal people who had the nerve to question what has been crammed down our throats.. i am 4th generation ex-jw with family members at bethel, doing missionary work, and pioneering.

  even though i have been out for almost 20+ years, i still had guilt admitting to myself that this was a cult-like organization until just recently.

  Did Jesus have high lights low lights or new lights?

  New instruction from the Borg as follows. Get your roots touched up every six to eight weeks. Rub vaseline around your hair line as a protective measure before colouring. To remove stains after colouring use a cream cleanser with your cotton balls. Wrap a dark coloured towel around your shoulder ,if you forgot the vaseline and stained your skin use your cotton balls soaked in a little alcohol to remove .At the same time have a little nip of it , evidentially you know it makes sense. Always use gloves and if you get colour in your eyes rinse them out in a bowl of water.

  The point is Jesus had what can only be described as this fabulous head of hair .I mean it was like WOW because your worth it ! It was like styled and head and shoulders above the rest. It was like Just for Men and then some. The colour was something to die for.

  What I want to know is this. Is there any archaelogical evidence of a Gallilean barber shop or maybe you have heard of one in Jerusalem. I know the Romans were fond of their baths but hairdressers ?

  i recently looked at a copy of the watchtower and read a little of it but it seemed to me that it droned on and on in the same old way decade after decade.

  however to somebody who is new to their little game i can see that their message would sound plausible because of their clever technique of selling the watchtower brand of religion.

  in my eyes the books and mags.

However to somebody who is new to their little game I can see that their message would sound plausible because of their clever technique of selling the Watchtower brand of religion. In my eyes the Books and mags. are nothing less than a very tempting sales brochure .I suppose we all have sent away for more information on a must have product and the more we read about it the more tempting the product becomes untill we buy it and eventually the newness goes away so we chase the next dream product.

  Buying into the Witness beliefs though can have a cataclysmic effect which can't be seen at first . Once the novelty dies off and the realisation of what we have let ourself in for emerges, it can be a very serious and sober awakening. All new followers should be aware that there is no scrappage scheme opperating after you wake up to the fact that it's just a JW confidence trick , there is nothing at the end of the road but to say 'Oh Lord what have I done ! '

  Who do you pray when you feel the need to pray if you dont believe in God?

  sometimes when we face difficult situations i feel the need to pray to god for help, and i know that plenty of times the sole act of praying makes you feel hope and have a better outcome of the situation.

  you can call it suggestive or that you prepare a positive scenario by using faith.

  the outcome is that regardless if there is someone who listens or not to your prayers oftentimes you feel better afterwards and have more positive attitude.. the problem is that i dont believe in god anymore.

  For what its worth. My thoughts are that no human knows or as ever truly known God . All we have are imaginations about a creator and that is all we have had.

  Therefore it seems to me that the only re-course we have is to speak to the originator of all or the first cause and to maybe think of that as a divine spirit. At the same time accepting that we have not got any surety about the whys and wherefores. So in the end what I can't change or do anything about I say to the Orignator whether it be a spirit or nature, " please help I will leave everything up to you now ,I have done all I can and have done that which seems to be correct. I am completely in your care because as the first cause you are my only option ."

  Maybe it's still imagination but what else have we got?

  WTBS taking care of older ones?

  does anyone know if the society/organization is financially taking care of the older ones?.

  my husband and i left the org over 10 years ago, we are of the generation where our parents came to the jw's in the 70's, gave up everything they owned, had no college education, and stuck to the usual janitorial/construction jobs so they wouldn't miss any meetings.

  this of coarse means they have no retirement money and see nothing wrong with that as the end of the system is soon upon us.

  The Watchtower Org. calls itself a charity but in reality it is a beneficiary of charity. It is a business monster called charity fed by millions of followers who hold the Watchtower in their blind spot.

  This non charity is at the centre of the Watchtower Org. It sits there like some ugly, multi tentacled ,slimy, warty multi faceted creature from a stinking slime pit sucking in the unwary . It reaches out grasping for every bit of coinage it can get its multi feelers around. Taking all unto itself , gorging on human effort and giving nothing in return , at the same time spewing up those who try to clean its very heart.

  It is the broken promise society. Promise after promise after promise broken. The wild dreamings of men evaporated into nothing .

  The worst of it is that all this human effort expended on this organisation through many many decades could have been put to good use and so could its vast income.

  This monster has created a charity vacuum to protect itself .It doesn't have to help out because their brand of warped religion teaches that basically it is wrong to assist materially the sufferings of the World and why because they suppose the World is a lost cause. But what they forget is that they themselves are part of the World whether they like it or not.

  The only suggestion I can put forward is that you try to contact Jah Jireh. This is a charity run by certain brothers operating mainly from the U.k. They open care homes for elderly Jehovah Witnesses but usually with individuals receiving assistance from the state as well, providing they fall into a certain category, needing mostly medical help and care.

  They can be reached via the internet.
